In plain words
Even for men worth crores it is food and clothes; no one can live by eating gold. When the time is against you, the stick itself becomes a snake; when things go your way, the earth becomes gold. In one place the scholar turns into a beast; at one time the fool turns into a sage. At one turn the goddess of poverty, for the rich man, falls in love and claims him as her kin. If there is only scrambling and nothing destined, not even a farthing will come near you. No, my dear, no: let no desire pass its bounds; live with good sense near Śrī Sāī.
Embodiments of Prema!
Fools look at God and think they are not seeing Him. The universe itself is the form of Viṣṇu. Unable to recognise this truth, man searches, thinking God is somewhere else, and tries to find his goal. These belong to the creed of dvaita. Though divinity is everywhere, though it has taken the divine form of Prakṛti, man, through his attachment to body and mind, thinks that God is separate from him.
The dharma of all religions is purity of heart. The essence of all rasas is the rasa of compassion. The goal of all sādhanas is the mansion of Śānti. Prema for all beings is itself Bhakti to the Lord of all. As much as purity of body is needed for health, so much is purity of mind needed for Ānanda. So, for the sake of purity of heart, man must believe in the divinity in all the acts he does and develop a sacred outlook.
Man is binding his life with show, with Ahaṅkāra and with worldly delusions.
