In plain words

Jesus asked him. Why have you come here, my son? "Master, I have money. I have a mansion. I have every comfort I need. But without Śānti of mind, many problems are troubling me. Show me some way to solve these problems," he said. Smiling and smiling, He said one small word. "O rich man, there is one small way to solve your problems; can you do it?" He said. "Distribute your possessions among the poor; this is the cure for your problems," He said. As long as you keep increasing this wealth and these possessions, so long your problems will only grow; there is no way they will be solved. What can you do by increasing your wealth? Some day or other you must leave them and go. For such worthless wealth you are making your life impure. Be it the son born to you or the wife you married, you have respect only as long as there is wealth; after that no one will respect you in the least. The wealth of God alone is your true wealth. The wealth of Dharma alone is your true wealth. Receive the wealth of Prema that is called grace. What we must earn today is only the wealth of God's Prema. However much physical wealth there may be, however much bodily wealth, there is no profit in it. Teaching the wealthy and the rich in this way, Jesus went on giving help in this way to all the poor.

So around Jesus there were always poor people, not the wealthy. Peter was a fisherman who caught fish. Mathew, Thomas: all of these were ordinary people. But at the very last, those who recognised the power and might of Jesus, staying close by Him at every step, were only a few. Gathering all of this together, the one named John wrote the Bible first. St Pal wrote another Bible. All of these compiled the matters that came to them by hearsay. Mathew, a tax collector: he took the matters he had gathered and wrote a Bible. But what one wrote and what another wrote have no connection at all. They established that this Jesus was one who held up an ideal of a kind for the world. They came to believe that He was simply a divine messenger sent by God. In keeping with that, Jesus said, "I am messenger of God." But what work did that messenger do? He did only a messenger's work. He went on proclaiming the principle of Divinity to the people. But today, calling ourselves messengers, we behave against God. Taking this as the chief thing, St Pals went to Rome and was the first to spread the word about this Jesus. At first St Pal was the bitterest enemy of Jesus. Whether he heard the name of Jesus or saw the devotees of Jesus, he would flare up.
