Passage 12

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

But to see the bad in others and to hide the bad in oneself: this is not man's duty. See the good in everyone. Do not revile anyone. Sarvabhūta tiraskāraṃ keśavaṃ pratigacchati. Whomever you revile, you become one who has reviled God. Be with everyone in Prema and achieve.

Human life is very sacred. We must not waste such a life. From so many countries they have come here. What did they lack, that they have come here? They had no lack of money. No lack of comforts. No lack of enjoyment. All these are physical; but Ānanda is of the nature of the Ātma. They found it nowhere. It is in the Ātma alone that this Ānanda is to be had by us. So we must turn our whole gaze toward the Ātma. What is the Ātma? Expansiveness itself is our principle of the Ātma. We must root out the narrow feeling of "I and mine". All are mine. All are children of God. For all, the Father is one. But the children are many. We must recognise the truth that the Lord who protects is one. Prema alone is the right path. Service alone is the right path. Our Singh said it. Love of God. Fear of sin, Morality in Society. These three alone matter for us. Once we love Divinity, the fear of sin arises. It is only he who has no Prema for God who has no dread at all of sin. One who has love for God is a mānava. If he loses that love, he becomes a dānava. For him there is no fear at all. All that he does is sin. By committing such sin, how can he be honoured in society? So if fear of sin is to arise, we must earn love for God. Through love for God, fear of sin grows in us. Through fear of sin we win respect in society. He commits no wrong. The form of these three is the form of the Trimūrti. Such a form of the Trimūrti, they said, is purity of the three instruments.

By the pūjās we do with purity of the three instruments, through humanness, we may attain Divinity. So we must develop Prema. There is nothing greater than this Prema. Whatever their country, whatever their tribe, whatever their religion, whatever their tradition, Prema is one for all. No one of any religion says to defy Prema. No one of any country says to transgress Prema. No one of any tribe says to spurn Prema. Without Prema there is no life at all. That is why it is through this Prema that all of you have been able to gather here. So we must strengthen this Prema. This very Prema is God to you. Love is GOD Live in Love. So there is nothing wrong in your going on following Divinity in Prema, by whatever name you like, whatever form you like, whatever path you like. What pleases our heart is what is dear to us. So, following that heart and receiving the Prema of that heart, be immersed in that very Prema of the heart.
