Passage 17

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

I hope that with unity, with the feeling of Prema, with the principle of God, you will give the country a divine path, and blessing you, I bring my talk to a close.

No one can change creation; we must change our vision

Keep one thing in view. If you look at things in the light they are seen, but in the dark they are not seen. So this light means Love, Love Love: look with the vision of Prema. Everything will be seen by you in detail. If you look in the darkness called selfishness, you will see nothing. Even what is near is not seen. The whole of creation is in our vision. So we must change our vision. No one can change creation. If you foster the vision of Prema, all is Prema! If you foster the vision of hatred, all is hatred! So everyone in our organisations, put on a new pair of cooling glasses, that is, the glasses called the vision of Prema! Then all will move together like sisters and brothers. The Lord of all is One! God. That is why it has been said, brotherhood of man, fatherhood of God. Foster these two.

The doctors have done sevā very well. To come at least once a year and set about curing all the ailments of those in the villages is a very great sacrifice! Not only here: when you go back to your own home towns, set about entering the villages there weekly once to do free work. Seeing the sick in Medical camps is no great thing. To see those in the villages who, with no one to turn to, with no medicines of any kind, end their lives in sickness: that is the great sacrifice! All you doctors, form yourselves into a committee, go to the villages nearby, and try to see the sick there too. Our own are not only those here. All who are in the country are our own! Today great doctors have all come and are putting their time, their karma and their duty to good use. Truly, service of this kind gives meaning to the doctors' having taken their degrees. There are a great many doctors. But that only some of them get this chance is their good fortune.
