Sai Students in Every Field
In my view it is good for some of our students to go for the I.A.S., I.P.S. and I.F.S. examinations. Our children must enter every field. If you think it enough to take and study only the subjects in Swami's college, that is narrowness. Some of you, go in for medicine (the science of healing). Some of you, go in for engineering. But it is not good for children going to engineering or medicine to go straight after passing the 12th class. They must take a degree and then go. Otherwise the intellect does not blossom properly. If they go to engineering as soon as Inter is over, they do not understand the world. Nor do they have the right command of language to express their thoughts. They have no knowledge of the world at all. I have seen many who went to engineering this way. There is no growth in them. Selfishness and narrow ideas. Push selfish ideas far away from you. I have watched those who spoke just now. They are children of good intelligence. It is good for them to go for the I.A.S. I.A.S. turned around becomes S.A.I. That too belongs to Sai! Go for the Foreign Service; do not merely try to become chartered accountants, saying C.A. That is the work of putting right the frauds that business people commit. I bless you all, in the hope that every one of you will have good qualities and good conduct and become an ideal.
