In plain words

… and police. They are the guardians. In them too, discipline is completely … How can the country be kept safe! How can the country progress? And how can the country live in happiness and Śānti!

That is why sannyāsins who give wholesome teaching, who teach Dharma, who teach the Ātma, must grow in number today. In those days Śaṅkarācārya gave an exemplary life to very many precisely because he took up such a sacred path. The great kings of those days sought out gurus in many ways, took refuge with great souls and kept putting their wholesome counsel into practice. So a certain spirit of sacrifice must grow in them. In those who rule, morality and integrity are vanishing. On the day they act with morality and integrity, on that very day all the people of the country will live in happiness and Śānti. Corruption and untruth have brought the education of today to this state. This system of education goes only as far as an acquaintance with books, but it is not in practice at all. People scramble only for a bare living, but make no effort at all for purity of heart. Only what serves to purify one's own heart is right education.

So today every human being must enter society and try to foster morality and integrity through service. Living in God: that is Spirituality. Living with God: that is education. Living for God: that is Service. In these three, divinity is present. Today divinity is seen nowhere. That is why the whole country is turning into a place of demons. Wherever you look, riots; wherever you look, unrest. Wherever you look, revolts. Wherever you look, massacres. What is the cause? The system of education, which is the basis of everything, has been completely rooted out. It is becoming a merely artificial education. Man is turning out to be a man without humanness. In truth, what man needs is humanness itself. One without humanness is nothing but a living being without breath. So today every single man must make a determined effort to spread humanness in every street and every quarter. This is for the country. It is for the country's welfare. It is enough if there are even a few people who seek the welfare of the country. Bhārata will set an example as a sacred land. Today such faith must grow among the young. The elders must try to recognise the cause of so much turmoil, so much unrest in the world today.
