In plain words
Embodiments of Prema!
The ground floor of this building is the most important. All the other three floors rest on the floor below. That is the floor of today's brahmacarya. Youth rests on the life of childhood. We must shape our childhood to be pure, peaceful and divine. Brahmacarya means a life filled with pure feelings, actions and thoughts! But unfortunately people think brahmacarya means merely getting through life somehow without marrying. Its purity lies within the word itself.
Brahmacarya is present within all four āśramas of life
Whatever action we undertake, whatever feeling we resolve on, whatever work we enter into, brahmacarya is seeing it all with the feeling of Brahman! Brahmacarya is just this: moving everywhere with the feeling of Brahman. Only when it is joined with pure feelings, only when it is joined with divine actions, only when it is joined with selfless service, does brahmacarya bear fruit. Brahmacarya does not belong to childhood alone. Brahmacarya is present in the place of the three floors above as well. Below, the ground floor, is brahmacarya. The second is gṛhastha. The third is vānaprastha. The fourth is sannyāsa. That is, brahmacarya flows as a hidden stream within the other three. Brahmacarya brahmacarya, gṛhastha brahmacarya, vānaprastha brahmacarya and sannyāsa brahmacarya: in this way brahmacarya is present within every one of them.
