In plain words
Bhā, Bhagavat; rati, fondness. Bhārata is the land that holds God dear.
Always remember these three: fear of sin, love of God, morality in society
God takes on an Avatāra to protect Dharma. So we must never violate Dharma. This is very much needed by the young of today. In the modern age, in this modern education, we are forgetting our sacredness and our culture. First of all we must recognise our culture. Vyāsa wrote 18 Purāṇas. In these 18 Purāṇas he set forth only two sentences as the chief ones. ‘Paropakāraḥ puṇyāya, pāpāya parapīḍanam,’ he said. This, precisely, is the chief principle of the Bhāratīyas. The reason is that God dwells in all. ‘Īśvaras sarvabhūtānāṃ.’ We must develop this faith. These MBA children, whatever positions of authority they may hold: all of you, when you take up your work with faith in God, will be able to achieve success. All of you must become ideal students. Today we need not a new education, not a new society, not a society of equals. Let our religion remain our religion. We need a pure dwelling in the heart. We must become people with pure hearts. That is what is needed today. Without it, whatever we do is of no use. Only when there is Purity do we get Unity. Only when there is Unity do we get Divinity. Enimity begins only when there is no Unity. Purity comes to us through divinity alone. When we sweep and sweep every day, the place stays clean. In the same way, when we go on thinking of God every day, the heart becomes pure. We must cleanse our hearts. We must cleanse our actions. We must cleanse our vision. Only then will the mind be pure. There are many young men who made sacrifices for the country. But unfortunately their names never came to light.
