Passage 8

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

You need not say, ‘Mine, mine.’ It is your own! You need not say, ‘Mine, mine.’ It is your own. Only its safekeeping belongs to the bank. If you sign a cheque, they give you the money. You can take it at any time. Because we do not know this secret, offering to God becomes hard.

So if you offer your citta to God, all your wealth stays right within you. Some day or other you cannot avoid offering it to Him. You cannot avoid it. If you do not give it, He Himself will seize the moment and take it away Himself. So offer it to God knowingly. Then contentment arises in you, and grace in God. God is ever the thief of the citta. He is not the thief of wealth. You yourselves are the thieves of wealth! Change from thieves of wealth into thieves of the citta.
