In plain words
In the same way, if we have earned the wealth of the Name, we can attain the thing called form at any time at all. We must develop, every day, the way of earning this wealth of the Name, through certain kinds of reflection. Some practise yoga, some prāṇāyāma, some yajñas, and some other kinds of sādhana. On these paths of yoga, yajña and prāṇāyāma there is some chance of slipping at every step, on every stair. Even after doing so much, the doubt whether we will gain the fruit or not does not leave us. Even without doing any yogas, any prāṇāyāmas, any yajñas or any tapas at all, the fruit that is in all of them can be gained through this one remembrance of the Name alone. We must try to recognise, in some measure, this holy Tattva of the Name and the glory of the Name.
Through the Name we can easily reach the one who bears the Name. Not everyone is able to recognise the Name of God. When we want to see a new person, his features and his form are not known to us. At such a time, if we keep just his name in mind to some degree, we can see that person some day. That is why, through the Name, it becomes possible for us to gain even the Tattva that is hard to gain. In Kāśī there lived a man who was a great knower of Tattva, a great Jñāni, a crest-jewel of Vedānta. Prakāśānanda. He read all the Vedas and the Vedāṅgas and became known as a very great scholar. He won fame for the holy city of Kāśī itself. In the end, through this acquaintance with books, he made his heart wholly impure. There were only words, and no experience at all. Practice there was even less. Yet in this world of nature he won the renown that there was no one greater than he. At last, humbled by his own disciples, he realised that in all this there was no true essence and no true power, and from that day he began the remembrance of the Name. How does Prema arise? Prema arises in us through the Name itself. This Prema is what carries one to the Paramātma. For the man immersed in this Prema there is no danger at all. The fierce rays of the sun do not trouble at all the man who stands in the Gaṅgā. These rays trouble only the one who is on the bank of the water. These powers of Māyā do not trouble at all the man immersed in full Prema. Māyā troubles only the one who is far from Prema. So we must develop the Tattva of Prema through this remembrance of the Name.
Through this Tattva of Prema many kinds of powers arise in us as well.
