Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Give up wicked qualities and you become a good man; give up worry and purity of mind is found; where the quality of sacrifice is, the Tattva of freedom is won: do not forget such good words as these.

Embodiments of Prema!

There is not, there is not, O fortunate one, an age to equal the Kali age: by remembrance and by contemplation alone one attains the supreme goal.

If we would reach the supreme goal, the easy path in this Kali age is the Name of God alone. This is the Kali age. It is an age filled with impurity to the full. Peace within unrest, the supreme light within peace, and that supreme light is the very form of the Paramātma. We must not forget the truth that in unrest itself is peace, in peace itself is radiance, in radiance itself is the supreme light. No other age is to be seen so full of Ajñāna, so full of darkness. In this Kali age, so full of Ajñāna and darkness, one power shines forth that dispels the darkness and the Ajñāna by one easy path. That is the light of the Name.

The Name of Hari alone, the Name of Hari alone, the Name alone, nothing else; in Kali there is no other, no other, no other way at all.

In this Kali age there is nothing other than the remembrance of the Name that protects, that sets one on the path of Jñāna, or that makes one recognise divinity within one's own conduct; there is nothing else. When we see a rose, its lovely colour, its beautiful bloom and its delightful fragrance enter our heart. When we look at the same flower closely, the withered petals and the thorns on it also meet our eye.

Face to face, a kind of reverence, fear and unease begin in us. In just the same way, the unease and fear that go with the form of God are not there in this Name. The Name can be remembered freely. This Name is a place within reach of everyone. It is a form sweeter than all that is sweet. A sinner cannot reach the Paramātma, but even a sinner can easily take up the Name. Whatever kind of man one is, one can take up this Name, the easiest path of all. The money that buys is worth far more than the thing that is bought. If we have earned money, we can obtain things on any day and at any time.
