In plain words
In the end he said only one thing.
See the court you hold now, the way your ten heads will fall; was it not to see this that I let myself be caught by Indrajit? Why should I tell you again and again? Your life is not your own; I give you good counsel, Rāvaṇa: this Laṅkā is yours no longer, you of evil ways!
"Your life is not in your hands. It is in the hands of the Paramātma. Recognise it even now, and pray to the Paramātma. You need have no doubt about where the Paramātma is.
If you would recognise the Paramātma who is everywhere, utter the all-powerful Name," he said. If you utter the one Name, you will have enjoyed everything. If you water the roots of a tree, you will have nourished the branches, the twigs, the unripe fruit and the ripe fruit. … For this world the Name alone is the seed. From this seed called the Name itself the tree called the world has arisen. Within this tree called the world, all the leaves called the many kinds of delusion have arisen. On it bloom the flowers called our saṅkalpas. These very flowers called saṅkalpas take the form called fruits. Those fruits are the jīvas. In every fruit, again, this seed is present. What was sown was one seed alone; as many fruits as the tree bore, so many seeds enter into them. This is what He said in the Bhagavad Gītā: "Bījaṃ māṃ sarvabhūtānām." My seed, which is the form of the Name, takes shape in the heart of everyone as the seed that is the form of the Name. How did one seed turn into so many seeds? That is "Ekoham bahu syāṃ prajāyeyeti." The One went on taking many forms. But people today read many books and write many works, yet they make no effort to recognise Satya.
Even one who has gathered the essence of all the śāstras and Purāṇas, even a brāhmaṇa who has learnt the Vedānta,
Whatever brāhmaṇa ways they keep, they forget the truth that practice is most essential. Learning without practice is useless. We must try to practise even a little.
Embodiments of the divine Ātma! We need not waste our time reading many kinds of books. Repeat the Name of the Paramātma with purity of mind. Through that Name itself we can enjoy every kind of Ānanda. In your daily life you may enjoy things that do not last. While enjoying them we must not forget the truth that they, too, are God's very powers, that they, too, are God's own will. A small example.
