In plain words
Still others use Swami's name, saying "Swami has given me some powers", and collect money in this way. There is no worse demonic act than this. So much time has passed. Never at any time, with anyone, in any matter, have I entered into this matter at all. And so they use Sai's name, drag people down this wrong path in this way, and bring Sai a kind of bad name. They are making it merely a field of business. True, it is a business. What business? The business of giving and taking Prema. But the people in the organisations too have gone into this matter of gathering money, building up this one and that one in many ways, and however much I say, they go on collecting money. So neither giving to anyone nor getting others to give, neither of the two, must happen. Not everyone in our organisations is poor. To some extent there are rich people too. If such service is to be done, the rich can surely come forward a little and give some help. Why should these rich people too have this poverty of begging? Is what they have not enough for them? So if they go along such a path, the Sai organisations get a bad name. The command I give is only one. See that the Sai organisations have no bad name. Beyond that, the organisations have no connection with Me. All are people who are in the organisations. All devotees, join too.
In these Sai organisations there is no distinction that some are members and some are office bearers. They were set up for the devotees; these organisations are not for anyone else. Every man has a right in them. Every person has the right to develop his humanness. Man must increase human values, not increase money values. Wherever, within the Sai organisations, such subscriptions are collected, or subscriptions are collected in the name of pūjās and worship, that can never be a Sai organisation. Among the devotees too, many have gone into this business and are doing all such things. If some of you rich people among yourselves join together and want to do some work, there is nothing wrong in doing it with that. But you must never at all try to go from house to house begging alms. What Sai wants is lokās samastās sukhino bhavantu. All must live happily. All must develop their humanness. Men must help men. We must develop such a feeling of forbearance. That itself is jantūnāṃ narajanma durlabham.
