In plain words
What grants such courage is divinity alone. The reason is that God, the embodiment of Sat-Cit-Ānanda, is right with you, beside you, and in your home. Be fearless. God is with you. So we must make the journey of life in that courage.
Master the mind
Students! Before you finish your studies and enter the wide world, there are a few things you must know. First of all, we must master the mind. Only then will all these senses come under our control. You become the Master. Master the mind be a master mind. That is what we must achieve. You are a Master, not a servant. When you keep your mind under your own control, there is no greater Master than you. When you, who should be the master, give in to the senses, which are your servants, you have to suffer hardships of every kind. As far as you can, recognise the Satya that divinity is in everyone, and take care to hurt no one. So in every human being there is Sat-Cit-Ānanda. You must develop the sacred feeling that this same Ānanda is in me too. Love ever hurt never. This is the right royal road for man.
To wound others and hurt others over every little thing: that is not the true meaning of humanness. Unable to recognise his own nature, a man must not foul the air around him. When man is born, he is born free of qualities. As he grows and grows, merely through the change of time, the change of food and the change of company, many kinds of influences develop in his humanness. By the time he enters school, Ahaṅkāra and attachment have entered him from head to foot, ahead of himself and ahead of his learning. Some, with some five year plan, lay in enough food for five years; others lay in food for ten years; but the students of today look to gain wealth that will not run out however many famines come.
