Passage 2

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Divinity is there with humanness itself

Embodiments of Prema! We are human beings. When we ask what the divinity in this humanness is, we must know that humanness is not made up of mere play-acting and pretence. Humanness is made up of Prajñāna, Vijñāna and sujñāna. Today, through pointless worries and endless desires, we run after what cannot be obtained and are overtaken by unrest. The light that shows a person in such ignorance and unrest a sound direction is the spiritual light. Today there is a great deal of weariness. A great deal of annoyance. Even the śraddhā and Bhakti to listen to a talk are not there among the people. What is the reason? Humanness in form alone is of no use at all to the world. Today people only do preaching and teaching. But practice and reflection have become empty. Today practice is essential for everyone.

What the progress of the world needs is not factories and industries. Male and female students of good qualities. Women and men are essential. Only then can the country grow. We have lost the inner vision of humanness. In humanness, divinity is very wide. God is the one who is infinite within the infinite and subtle within the subtle. That is why we use the expression “aṇor aṇīyān mahato mahīyān, anubhavajña”. In business we say, “He is experienced.” In medicine we say, “An experienced man.” But anubhavajña means God Himself. Anu means very small. It is God, who is in our heart very small and unseen, who is the anubhavajña. Today we have forgotten such a sacred meaning. We are deluded by outer meanings. Forgetting his own true nature, forgetting his own powers and abilities, he toils for food and drink and the like.

Today's man does not recognise that as his desires grow, his joy lessens. Like an anthill, desires keep coming up and coming up. However much we eat, there is no satisfaction.
