Passage 17

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

One who lacks it is not a man at all. He becomes lower than the demons. Do not become such demons. Become good human beings. Become ideal human beings. That is what we want. This one thing you must keep remembering in your mind all the time. “Am I grateful or not?”: you must keep reflecting on this every moment. Do not give room to the Ahaṅkāra of being learned. Do not give Ahaṅkāra the least chance because an ‘O’ grade has come. I do not look at this ‘O’ grade ‘A’ grade. Whether it comes or not, if your mind is pure, that itself is the big grade. What gain is there in this grade or that grade coming? I never look for grades. You must become a person of good character. You must earn the name “a son of immortality”. Make every effort to earn that name.
