Passage 10

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

We must be good, not great. You must grow Prema. You must not be a lover. You yourself must become Prema. If you are Prema itself, you can give it to as many as you like. If you are only a lover, you will love one or two.

We must develop divinity with faith. Today the whole world falls into so many kinds of sorrow and unrest only through losing faith in God. What is the very root of man's unrest? For this there are just two causes. To neglect what one has, and to pine for what one has not. That is the root cause of unrest. Be content with what you have. Do not brood over what you have not. Then you will be peaceful.

Along with learning, we must foster humility. Along with humility, we must grow discernment. Along with this discernment, knowledge too must grow. This knowledge must be joined with Viveka. Today there is knowledge. There is no Viveka. There must be knowledge joined with Viveka. With that very Viveka the spiritual begins for us.
