But when you drink this water, that reflection is not in it. Is there no sky? The sky is there. Because the water we could see is not there, the sky does not appear to us. In the same way, as long as the body is there, the Ātma is there. Even after the body goes, the Ātma is there. But it is not seen. So the body that is worn wastes away, but the Ātma that has wedded it never wastes away. That is why his name is naraḥ. So to recognise that what is everywhere is the Ātma: that is awareness of atma.
Then the third is N. N stands for nature of Nation. Why should we say nature of nation? Here you must think it over well. Bhārata is a Nation. America is a Nation. Russia is a Nation. England is a nation. Each has all the nature that belongs to that Nation. American nature. As one says Russian nature, we must have Indian nature. There must be no nature of any other country. Those who go into business must first of all have Indian nature. So though nature and nation are bound in close relationship, our nature must accord with this nation. We were born in Bhārata. So we must develop the nature fit for our country. What is the nature of this nation? We Indians are all keepers of Satya in speech. Devoted to the practice of Dharma. People who live with morality and integrity. So we must develop the nature fit for our Bhārata. Where must we bring this nature from? The first is M. The second is A. The third is N. When these three come together, it has become MAN. First, Mind of Man, awareness of Atma, Nature of Nation: this is the principle of the earth. Mind, Ātma, body: the unity of these three is Man, the principle of man.
Then the fourth is A. Aspect of environment. What is environment? Atmosphere. This atmosphere is of many kinds. Not only the atmosphere of a man. Within this atmosphere of a man there may be a political atmosphere. There may be a Spiritual atmosphere. There may be an atmosphere of air. That is, there may be the atmosphere of these five elements. But what atmosphere do we need? It must be an atmosphere fit for that business and for that situation. A small example. Now they have set up the cloth mills all in Coimbatore. The cotton mills are all there. What kind of atmosphere do these cotton mills need? If the atmosphere is dry, all of it is spoilt. So they must have a wet atmosphere.
