In plain words
How full of divinity is a mind that has so much power! So the mind must not be compared with science. Compare the body with science. This mind is a business centre. All kinds of relations come through the mind alone. One who keeps his mind under control wins success in any business at all. In that mind you must grow faith in God. If you have that faith, you will win success of every kind in your business.
Students! In this thing called management you are studying something or other you do not need. You are going into all this, which is only a kind of technical thing, but you do not go down into the depths of the heart. Today the world too looks for research at this technical level, but at the spiritual level it looks for nothing. But whether or not you stay in this business, make your heart an altar for this spiritual. If you grow divine faith in your heart, then wherever you go, whatever business you join, you will win success through those divine feelings. You need not fear whether you will get a job or not. You need not fear whether they will pay you a salary or not. You need not fear whether it is permanent or temporary. The root cause of this fear is the lack of faith in God. Enter any business with faith in God. But at the start there will be some hardship and loss. Without loss and hardship we cannot have happiness and joy. Happiness does not come to us from happiness. Happiness comes from hardship. If we sit 24 hours in air condition, we do not know the worth of air condition. If we wander two hours in the sun and then sit once in air condition, how very pleasant it is! Then we know its worth. So after going through hardships we can carry on management well. Only when there are difficulties can one manage. If there are no difficulties, he cannot manage anything. That is the correct meaning of this word manage too. Happiness and sorrow, hardship and loss, gain and loss: we must manage them. It is from this that this word manage came. We must make adjustment. We must understand. All this is for my good; whatever happens is for good. That goodness helps you greatly.
There was Sir C. V. Raman. A scientist. He was director of the I.I.T. He was very strict. He was a very fine man. I was staying in Bhagavantam's house.
