Only that society which brings together in one place the fruit of the karmas that man, too, has pooled bears the name society. What is the life of this society? Unity is the life of society. This unity is purity. Purity is divinity. Without unity no purity, without Purity no Divinity can come. This unity breaks apart. Because unity breaks apart, enemity starts. That is why we must drive away this enemity. We must develop unity in Purity. Then Divinity comes to us automatically. The oneness of the two, Sat and Cit, is Ānanda. Sat is sugar. Chit is water. If you mix the two, water and sugar, it becomes syrup. No sugar, no water, no syrup.
