In plain words
Today the body has a close bond with the senses. A body without senses, senses without a body, cannot be. In the same way, there is a close bond and kinship between the Buddhi, the Manas, the senses and the body. A small example. Kṛṣṇa went to Dhṛtarāṣṭra as an envoy. Dhṛtarāṣṭra asked, 'The Pāṇḍavas and the Kauravas are both the children of brothers. Why so much affection only for these Pāṇḍavas, and why do you show none for the Kauravas? Should even God have such partiality?' 'Dhṛtarāṣṭra! You are not only physically blind. You are blind in Jñāna too,' He said. 'Here I am telling you the close bond and kinship that I have with the Pāṇḍavas. Whoever takes refuge in Me, whoever chooses Me in the right way, whoever comes to Me in Śaraṇāgati, them I cannot but cherish.' That is why, once, Nārada too asked. 'Nārāyaṇa! No one knows where You live. You have a great many branch offices. But give me Your correct address,' he said. 'This is My address,' said Kṛṣṇa. 'Where My devotees sing, there I abide, Nārada.' Wherever people dwell on Me in their hearts with full Prema, right there I live for ever. This is no branch office; it is the head office itself.' He said so. 'Listen: I am telling you the bond between the Pāṇḍavas and Me,' He said. This is a body. There are two legs. There is one belly. There are two arms. There is one head. All these joined together make one body. Dharmaja is like the head. Arjuna is like the arms. Bhīma is like the belly. Nakula and Sahadeva are like the legs. In this body, Kṛṣṇa is the heart. Without this heart there is no body. Without the body, the heart cannot be seen by us. So that is the close bond and kinship between the Pāṇḍavas and Me,' He said. In the same way, what is joined together with all of these, the body, the senses, the Manas and the Buddhi, is the Ātma. All these together are one form. The One Being: what is, is one alone. As there are many atoms in one body, it takes on many forms. So we have recognised the matters of the senses and the matters of the body only in part. From now on: what is the bond of the Manas with the senses, of the Manas with the Buddhi and with the senses? How the principle of the Ātma flows in all of them as one stream, as an inner current: that we shall learn in the days to come.
