In plain words
That is true Ānanda. It is not that He is somewhere, that He has gone somewhere: …, here, anywhere I look, He alone is in my heart. The body is a temple. It is a moving temple. Wherever this body goes, God is there all through. Wherever the Temple is, there is God. Let the children make that feeling firm, and not this feeling: 'He is here, He is in Puttaparthi.' Wherever you are, whatever work you do, you must think: Swami is right with me, Swami is watching. Only when such a feeling is there will we fall into no fault. If we think Swami is in Puttaparthi, we commit all the faults we like. He is always right with me; Swami watches more carefully than I do; I may close my eyes, but Swami does not close His eyes. When I wonder where God is, when I think He is right with me, the sound of footsteps behind me is heard. When I ask, 'Is God watching what I do?', there only two eyes are seen. 'Is He hearing the prayers I make?' …, there are only ears. To know the nature of God is hard. The eyes are two …. He has a thousand eyes. With care, and with this faith, develop your Bhakti for God. … only will you take shape as citizens who give Bhārata its right ideal. You must become ideal citizens. Only then will this country change again. Whether you are here or wherever you go, these feelings must keep stirring; in your mind they must keep moving.
