Passage 11

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

I am always happy. I have no need of happy. Say happy to someone who has no happy. So there is endless Ānanda.

Birth and death are changes of Prakṛti; the thought of God alone gives life its meaning:

Never, not for a moment, am I in sorrow. What is the reason? Every one of these things is nothing but transient. All of them are nothing but passing clouds. What is the use of grieving over this? We must not worry at all about birth and death. We must not be cast down. We must not be puffed up. When we are born, we do not bring even this much cloth. When we go, we do not leave so much as an address behind. Then how do they become our own? All these, every one, are only the changes of Prakṛti. As long as we are here, we must live together in harmony and pass our life joyfully. By the thought of God alone, all suffering is removed. Forgetting God and trusting the world, what are you gaining? Have faith in God. Do not let hatred of caste and creed grow at all. All names and all forms, too, are God's alone. All this is nothing but the form of the cosmic Virāṭ. So, believing in this divine feeling and remembering His Name, make your life blessed.
