In plain words
The close tie and kinship between employment and education must be cut. Education should be for life not for a living. Many kinds of beasts, birds and animals all go on living in this world. Living is not what matters. Beasts, birds and animals go on living in hunger and thirst. Living is not what matters. We must make known the secret called life. But today, in the field of education, they teach only the things that have to do with living. Nobody teaches what life is. Human life is most sacred. It is divine. It is worth living. Forgetting this humanness, we are scrambling in many ways for the physical, worldly, bodily pleasures of this world. We do need physical comforts. But we must not give our whole life to them. Every object in the world changes at some time or other. Every man wastes away at some time or other. But though man dies, his ideals do not die. They live on for ever. We must bring this ideal life into experience. We must develop our ideals. That alone is immortal. That alone is nectar. Such ideals must be spread to the world today. From ancient times our Bhārata has been giving endless teachings of the Ātma. In Bhārata, the home of the wealth of spiritual treasure, demonic tendencies such as unrest, injustice, misconduct, untruth and adharma are dancing the dance of dissolution today. Students alone are fit and able to solve such problems.
Students, embodiments of Prema! You must fill your hearts with the feeling of dedicating your lives to the country. Nothing but selfishness, selfishness. Selfishness is not right. Fish is better than selfish. Sunk in selfishness alone, man wanders about the world and cannot root out in the least the bad qualities, bad practices and arrogance that are in the world. We must develop Prema. We must develop a broad mind.
Love lives by giving and forgiving Self lives by getting and forgetting.
Not only that: in the history of our Bhārata there are two sayings found in the eighteen Purāṇas; they are Help ever, hurt never.
