In plain words
Only then will you be able to recognise your own true nature.
You yourself are God
“I am not the body. I am the onlooker of everything”: this is the truth you must recognise. The senses are impermanent. So the fruits that come from them are also impermanent. Real truth arises from the heart. You yourself are God. We must develop such divine faith. Man means a being who has faith. Only when we put into practice what we have believed does faith grow stronger. What you believe, you must practise. But man today does not recognise this truth, and does not enquire into it. He is wasting his time on things that are outward, worldly, of this world alone. The waves that are born of the ocean take many forms, play and sing in that very ocean, and once again dissolve into that same ocean.
In the same way, since man is born of divinity, he must live in that divinity and end in it. That is the goal of true humanness.
Our whole life is very holy, divine, blessed. Such a holy life must not be wasted on base desires. You must regard this body as a thing seen. Take it as an instrument, and with it make every act holy. Only then will this humanness turn into divinity. For this there is only one way. That is the thought of God. “The knower of Brahman becomes Brahman itself.” There is no other way beyond this. Thinking of God, ever thinking of Him, you too become that God; you can attain that divinity and reach it.
