In plain words
Spirituality is what has turned to vapour from the ocean that is God's grace
The water of the sea turns to vapour through the rays of the sun. This very vapour takes shape as clouds. From these very clouds the rains pour down. From these very rains the streams and brooks run. These themselves take shape as a river. This river flows on, grows great, and at last joins the sea. If we recognise this principle well: born from the sea itself, taking on many forms and names, flowing along many courses, in the end it merges back into the sea itself. So spirituality is what has turned to vapour from the sea. The sea itself is grace. Spirituality is what has turned to vapour from grace, which is the sea. So the water that fills these clouds called spirituality is Satya itself. From these clouds called Satya, the rain falls down as drops of Prema. This water, rained down as drops of Prema, gathers into one. That itself is good company. As the influence of this good company gradually turns into more and more good company, it takes shape as the stream called Ānanda. This stream called Ānanda flows back into the ocean called grace. What was born of grace takes on many forms and names, goes along with the influences of circumstance, and returns in the form called Ānanda to the ocean called Ānanda. Only the water that reaches grace with Ānanda is water in its fullness. If it rejoins the sea without such Ānanda, as grief, as sorrow, as unrest, it is not a true river. But today the rain that falls from the clouds falls on some hillock, on mounds, in deserts, and stays right where it falls and sinks away.
