In plain words
Bee! Tell Śrī Kṛṣṇa this word of mine: just once, let Him lift His eyes and look.
Another Gopī:
Bee, tell Him to come and alight beside us; tell Him to give us divine Prema.
Yet another Gopī:
Tell Him to set the light of Kṛṣṇa the sun on the clouded paths of my mind.
Yet another Gopī:
Tell Him to make the withered tree of my life put forth new shoots, and soon.
Our trees of life have withered: they must put forth shoots. Rādhā came.
Tell Him to gather up the scattered flower garland of my life, make it lovely, and wear it.
That is what is called the Bhramara Gīta. They sent this message through the bee. We cannot stay a single moment apart from Kṛṣṇa. O Kṛṣṇa!
If You bloom in beauty as a flower, we shall hover round You as bees; if You flourish as a tree, we shall twine about You as a creeper.
We will not stay apart from You for a moment. We will stay wound round You.
If You are Mount Meru, spreading out I shall flow as a mountain stream; if You are the boundless sky, as a little star I shall sparkle in You.
They lived with feelings such as these. This or that: they had no desires of any kind. But from the comments ‘pandits’ have made on the rāsa dance, ill repute is arising.
