In plain words

Where is Aurangabad? Where would a lizard have a sister? When it knows its sister is coming, it is happy. The lizard has the power to know. Just then Patel and Patel's wife, the two of them, came for darśan. They got down from the tonga. They had come from Aurangabad itself. Getting down from the tonga, he took out the bag to feed grain to the horse. There was a lizard in it. This one crawled out and went to that lizard. The two of them were full of joy. This is something no one but Divinity understands. Bābā knew the language of the lizard. Not only that; there he began a harikathā saying that He knew every language. He asked Bābā. ‘I must write Your story as a harikathā! Where were You born? Who are Your parents? Where did You grow up?’ So Dās Gaṇu went on asking. To that Bābā said, ‘I have no birth, Dās Gaṇu!’ Then what is Your name? My name is just Bābā! Where have You come from? From God. This was the conversation between the two of them. Bābā said, ‘I came, but I was not born.’ When He answered like this, no one could know. Once Dās Gaṇu praised Bābā like this:

Born in the village of Patri, dwelling in Dvārakāmāyi, the God who grants His devotees' wishes, Sāinātha, I bow to Him.

Then it became known that Bābā was born in Patri.

All the things that happened in those days are happening now as well, little by little, unseen by the eye. ‘After how many years will You be born again?’ he said. Then He said, ‘After 8 years.’ ‘Where will You be until then?’ he asked. ‘I will be around you; that is My work,’ He said. The building of Prasanthi Nilayam was completed in 1950. At the time of that building, cement could not be had. Iron could not be had. Gopāl Reḍḍi (of Bezwada) was Transport Minister then. The hall needed girders. They could not be had. Gopāl Reḍḍi said, “We put up four girders for a bridge in Madhura. You take them.” They came as far as Penukonda. From there, how were girders 40 or 50 feet long to come to Puttaparthi? In those days there was no cart road to Puttaparthi.
