Thirty years ago the Japanese began making goods carelessly and supplying them to the world. There was no quality at all in those goods. In the end, across the world, people came to look down on Japanese goods. Everyone used to speak of them with great disgust. It went so far that no one would come forward to buy Japanese goods. Because of this the country too got a bad name. When businessmen make goods of fine quality, the country has a fine name. When businessmen produce goods without quality, out of nothing but selfishness and self-interest, the country too gets a bad name. After that the Japanese took note of this state of affairs and went into it deeply. They set their minds firmly on shaping the quality of their products well. Gradually Japan gained a good name.
