In plain words
He has no wish at all to hurt anyone. With this chance that has come into his hands and fallen to his lot, he should win a fine renown. He has many good resolves to give the country an ideal. None of you notices it. At night, when he lies down to sleep, he keeps thinking of just this. You must give such a person strength and capacity. For that the grace of God is there in plenty. But some human effort too is needed. Only when these two come together, as when negative and positive join, can we put the current to good use. All of you must forget the differences among you and uphold the glory of this country by unity. From long ages past the glory of Bhārata has spread far and wide. Bhārata has excelled greatly, morally, in Dharma and spiritually. But the people of Bhārata today, in worldly and physical ways, keep increasing their hatred of one another and are sinking utterly in morality. That must not be. We must rise in morality. That is our saṃskāra. That is morality and integrity!
Embodiments of Prema! Hoping that, without thinking of yourselves as separate, you will all be united for the welfare of the country, think of today as if a great kalyāṇa had taken place, wipe away all that is old and develop new and lofty feelings, and blessing you, I bring My talk to a close.
