In plain words
One who loves God sees God alone everywhere
People say that a man bitten by a mad dog sees dogs wherever he looks. In just the same way, one who loves God sees God alone everywhere. So man's mind and heart must be filled with Prema. Prema does not enter hearts that hold selfishness and Ahaṅkāra.
You must forget yourself, forget your own nature, and love God. Prema makes God lose Himself in it, and makes the devotee frenzied. Prema becomes its own intoxication. Prema makes God and the devotee dance, and dances itself as well. It makes itself forget itself. It delights itself. Lost to itself, it experiences Ānanda. Prema cannot bear separation. Today is the very day on which, to proclaim such Prema among men, it took human form among men and came down from Goloka to earth.
Only when it takes human form and teaches such Prema between man and man does man understand the divine principle. In ancient times the great sages did tapas in harsh, dense forests, in places full of wild beasts. They had no weapons of any kind. They protected themselves with Prema alone.
What was the reason they could love God, trust in God and live among fierce wild beasts? They did not limit their Prema to human beings only; they spread it over every living creature. With hearts as wide as that, they did their tapas. That is why their Prema entered even the fierce beasts, the tigers and leopards, and through that Prema the beasts and the sages both lived together in harmony in the one forest. Prema filled even the fierce tigers with Prema.
With the weapon of Prema we can destroy the animal in man and shape humanness into divinity
Man today, because he has lost Prema and the evils of selfishness and self-interest have entered him, is himself turning into a tiger.
