In plain words

At all times, in every age, everywhere, the thought of God

Sadly, from ancient times people who could not recognise Satya have been wasting their time in outward worship and prayers alone. That is why they stay so very far from the Ānanda of the Ātma. Of their own doing they keep far from this Ānanda. ‘For whom have you roamed the whole world? He is within you: know Him!’ They roam the whole world, looking for God. They search along many paths, seeking God. Where is God? Only if you know can there be a search! When you do not know where He is, searching means nothing. ‘Antarbahiśca tatsarvaṃ vyāpyanārāyaṇasthitaḥ.’ We think the jīva lives in the heart. If an ant crawls on our foot, we know it. So your consciousness is there too. Your prajñā has reached there too. Prajñā is everywhere. That is why they said ‘Prajñānaṃ brahma’. This principle whose form is prajñā is all-pervading. All this worship began in order to make such a principle of prajñā shine forth in these Navarātri days.

The whole earth is a lovely temple; the whole universe is filled with Viṣṇu, the supreme principle; Prakṛti teaches the supreme principle of Navarātri; in sādhana, friend, lies Sai's Prema.

So we must achieve this through sādhana. What is sādhana? Sādhana is not praying to God in one particular place or by one particular method. ‘Sarvataḥpāṇipādaṃ.’ ‘Sarvadā sarvakāleṣu sarvatra bhagavaccintanaṃ.’ This is indeed possible!

To be without the feeling that something other than oneself exists: that is Śaraṇāgati

We need not think of God separately. Whatever work we do, when it is done as an offering to God, all our deeds serve God's pleasure.
