Passage 15

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

We must take up the sādhana that brings us to recognise such unity in multiplicity.

Wherever you look in the world, the relation of limb and body is what appears

Embodiments of Prema! Our relationship is eternal. As I said yesterday, just as the limbs matter to the body and the senses matter to the body, so bodies are the support of society. These bodies are the very limbs of society. This society is a limb of humanness. Humanness is a limb of Prakṛti. This Prakṛti is a limb of the Paramātma. So wherever you look in the world, the relation of limb and body is what appears. Then where is there room for hatred? All this is the cosmos. This cosmos itself is the Virāṭ form of the universe. In this Virāṭ form all are parts! Many people keep thinking, ‘I am a fool who knows nothing, I have no learning, I am a nobody.’ You must not think like that. Take an example: inside rockets there are many pins, bolts, nuts and screws, all of these. Which part of this rocket matters most? No one can decide this. Every screw is important, every bolt matters! The nut matters too! If you ask what harm it does when so small a pin is lost in so big a rocket: the whole thing goes up in ashes. So in this Virāṭ form of the universe each person is a pin, a bolt, a nut, a screw. So each must do his duty well, in his own place, in the way he ought to be there. Only then will this machine called the universe run smoothly and bring Praśānti. We must begin this work seeking the Śānti of the world. People must not think that the Śānti of the world has nothing to do with them. The Śānti of the world is itself the Śānti of the individual! For you are one in the world. We must believe in that kind of sameness.

Without purity of feeling we cannot gain purity of Jñāna

Embodiments of the divine Ātma! With great pomp we hold all kinds of celebrations, for birthdays and for festivals.
