In plain words
The powers of body, mind and spirit come by the grace of God. The young people of today lead the divine powers within them astray, misuse them, and fall into sorrow. They have kept forgetting the unity of society. They are unable to recognise their own powers. Believing that only the physical, worldly, material powers matter, they are unable to inquire into the power within them. The root cause of all powers is the mind. Only when he restrains this mind can man attain the state of Mādhava. Whatever effort man undertakes, he must develop an unwavering faith in it. A man with a wavering mind cannot achieve even the smallest task. Only one whose heart does not waver can achieve everything.
Man must put the powers within him to good use
If the mind is to be shaped so that it does not waver, we must put our powers to good use. Chief among them is electric power. This power is our sight. It shines through the bulbs called the eyes. So we must turn our sight into right sight, sacred sight, joyful sight. We must not turn it into polluted sight. You must not use your sight with an impure feeling. Do not let in a sight that goes with evil thoughts. Then these bulbs called the eyes will burst, that is, we will lose that power. Next is the magnetic power that pervades the whole body. This magnetic power is mainly in the hand. So we must put our hands on the proper path, to right work. With these hands one must not do anything that harms others, hurts them or does them violence. Next, there are rays of light in our body. These rays of light are spread everywhere through waves of electric power. When someone sings at a radio station in Delhi, that song enters our ears at that very moment. That itself is the power of light. This power of light, spread everywhere and carrying sound, we are misusing.
