In plain words
The trees are made of wood. The earth is made of clay. The body is made of flesh. All that exists is the five elements! But for our convenience and for our enjoyment, we turn wood into doors, windows and tables. The forms and the names are different, but it is wood. Then in the mountains we make all sorts of changes, calling them rock, hillocks, stones. What changes? The stone we tread on, the stone we step on, the stone we build with, the stone we break: all are stone. What we build with, what we step on, what we tread on: it is all stone! The stone we tread on is a slab; the stone we bow to is an idol. The stone we build with and the stone we break is a boulder. All of it is rock! All these names are only devices we have changed for our own convenience! All that is in the world is the five elements! No other element besides the five elements is seen anywhere. If someone argues that there is another element, there is only one, and that is the antaḥkaraṇa. All these are outer instruments. The very form of the antaḥkaraṇa is the Ātmatattva. If man is to enjoy his own freedom, he must not go beyond these five. In them alone do we gain true victory. In them alone do we find the joy that is right for us. Man must not go after imitation in order to enjoy freedom.
Follow your own inner Self
In this modern age, under the influence of today's education, a great evil disease called imitation has entered. That man wore trousers like a drainage pipe. Saying this is the fashion, he too has them stitched. One side red, one side black: this is the fashion of the Kali Age, they say. He too must wear them like that. All this is imitation. You are a human being. Do not follow everything blindly. Follow your conscience. In this way man is growing weaker and weaker. He has grown so weak that, through cinema, TV and radio, the mind of man is becoming wholly polluted. His purity is being wholly defiled by these wrong paths. The divine power within him is growing weak. A small example. A mosquito has settled on our nose.
