In plain words
Hatred may arise even between brothers. But it must not arise among students. As such students, you must enter the world and turn into Praśānti the unrest that troubles the world today.
Too much talk is loss of mind; measured talk is great joy
Cultivate measured speech. We do not need too much talk. Too much talk is loss of mind. Measured talk is great joy. Too much food is loss of mind. Measured food is great joy. If you eat your fill, what work can you do? Eat only until the feeling comes that you could eat a little more. If you eat too much, you cannot work. You cannot achieve anything. So speak in measure. Eat in measure. Rejoice beyond measure. In every work, never forget the Name of God. The chief inner meaning of Sankrānti today is that a change must come in our heart. We must develop Śānti in us. We must increase the light. That light and Śānti we have increased we must share with the world. Personal happiness is no happiness at all. We must foster the feeling, ‘All those in the world are mine, my own kin.’ It is Sankrānti that teaches such infinitude.
