In plain words
Humanness is not humanness of shape, but humanness of conduct
Embodiments of Prema! What is needed most in the present situation is Prema! By losing this Prema we have lost humanness itself. What are human values? Our Prema is a human value. Our Satya is a human value. Ahiṃsā is a human value. Our Dharma is a human value. Keeping such values within us, man behaves simply as a fool, as though he had no values. Humanness is not humanness of shape. It must be humanness of conduct. What use is it merely to have the shape? Do all green birds talk like the parrot?
Do the worms that crawl over flowers become bees! Does a pig grown as fat as an elephant become an elephant, tell me!
No, no. Humanness does not depend on form alone. But man, though he is in a human life, cannot recognise the divinity in himself.
Does the creeper enjoy the nectar in the flower! Does the tree enjoy the sweet juice in the fruit!
In this world everything is sacrifice. The rivers flow. They do not drink their own water. They share that water for the good of others. The trees give fruits. But those trees do not eat those fruits. They give those fruits to all. There are cows. The cows do not drink their own milk. They share their milk with everyone. In the same way, the divinity in humanness must be shared with everyone.
When a good man joins with the bad, the good man's worth is lost
The man of today lives with selfishness and self-interest. Even cattle share their milk with everyone.
