Passage 9

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

It is in all as the very form of Prema. We must recognise that principle of Prema. We must experience the principle of Prema. We must share that principle of Prema. We must spread and teach that principle of Prema. That is the spreading of the spiritual.

We must journey from humanness to Divinity

Embodiments of Prema! Truly, we cannot say how great a land of merit, a land of Jñāna, a land of karma, a land of sacrifice, a land of yoga Bhārata is. Foreigners have longed so much to be born and to die in so sacred a Bhārata. Max Muller said, ‘I must be born in this land of Bhārata; whatever birth comes to me, I must be born in the land of Bhārata.’ Because he recognised so great a truth, they called Max Muller Mokṣa Muller. Max Muller was one who enquired into the Veda in the right way. ‘In Bhārata, every single drop of blood in every body is sacred’, he said. Max Muller went on turning every atom into Brahman. Today the people of Bhārata are forgetting this sacredness. Foreigners are taking up this sacredness and experiencing Ānanda. A great transformation of a kind is taking place in them. The seed turns into a tree. The baby girl turns into a mother. In everything, transformation is taking place. The egg turns into a bird. All these are the workings of transformation! But the man of today makes no effort to turn into God. From humanness he is sliding downward, that is, into demonhood. No, no; we must go forward. A promotion must come. We must not run in reverse. We must journey from man to Divinity. We came from animality. We live in humanness. We must reach our end in Divinity. That is true humanness.

Śivarātri means what drives away the darkness called ignorance

Embodiments of Prema! Whatever the situation, do not keep up any difference between forms of God at all.
