From the highly educated the country receives more harm than help
Unfortunately, every bit of today's learning looks like a mere acquaintance with books. Up to the examination hall they keep this learning in their heads. The moment they come back out of the examination hall, they do not remember even the answers they wrote. What good can such educated people do the world? Those who have become highly educated are only traitors to the country, not its benefactors. For the parents a loss of money, for life a loss of good qualities. And for society, life itself is the loss. So, however much one studies, one must develop faith enough to digest it. Asked what you have passed, you name big, big degrees. M.Sc, M.Com, MBA: in this way they put up all the letters. With these degrees in hand they try for jobs. Paltry degrees. What is all this for? Something there must be for one's bread, granted; but for one's bread, all these deceptions? He is deceiving himself. Of his own accord he is falling onto the wrong path. Of his own accord he is becoming base. What kind of life is such a life? Is this a human life, or an animal's life? This is not human life. There was a student called Mansūr who lived in Uttar Pradesh. A Muslim. But from the start he kept thinking on the word of God, and went on spending his time constantly in the thought of God. His family was a very poor family. However poor the family, the hope of educating their son is natural to parents. His parents tried very hard to put Mansūr in school and educate him. That boy's heart was like a mirror. Only in a mirror that is pure is your reflection seen clearly. What makes a reflection appear in a mirror? If one brings the bare glass alone, no reflection appears. The form on the other side of the glass appears. When the chemical mercury is coated on the far side of that glass, the reflection appears. To the mirror of the heart, the mercury called pure Prema was added. In the mirror his own reflection appears very clearly. Then he has no need of this world. ‘I am seeing myself. This itself is the goal of my life’, so he resolved firmly within himself.
