In plain words
If you sit doing japa, the rosary is in your hand but your mind is in the market. We sit for dhyāna. What is this dhyāna? Are you sitting for a photo? Divinity is not gained by this. These are ways to a steady mind. Prema is the only way to attain God. So you must turn this Prema into the Prema of God. Whatever work you do, go to the office, till the land, do business; whatever work you do, do it for the pleasure of God. That will surely come about. Merely saying it in words is not enough. It must come from the heart. God will surely be reached in a moment. There is no need to search. For only if He were somewhere else would you search for Him. Even mother and father may be some distance away, but God is not far. God is always with us, in our home, at our side. To attain such divinity, Prema alone is enough. Earn this Prema. Only then is divinity within our reach.
Our culture of Bhārata has been teaching so easy a path. Our Vice-Chancellor said it. They tie mango leaves over the doorway. For decoration they tie up plastic ones; but why did they go on tying green leaves? From ancient times even the ignorant village folk knew science. A wedding is held in a small house. In front of the house they put up a pandal of green leaves. Why do they put it up? Many people gather in that small pandal. The carbon dioxide they breathe out, those green leaves take in. They give us oxygen. The village folk discovered this long ago. So they themselves did not get diseases. Heart diseases there were none at all. There was no such thing as asthma. Why? The trees are all taking in this carbon dioxide. What a great help the trees are giving! They are giving oxygen itself. But, not noticing this truth, as education grows they are cutting down the trees. So we have run short of oxygen. We are bringing dangers on ourselves with our own hands.
The cause of our sorrows and troubles is our own negative thoughts. Worldly negative thoughts. Keep the positive. There is a bulb. With one positive alone it will not come. Only when positive and negative both join does light come. body negative. Your life positive. Only when these two join is there vibration. What does vibration mean? Satyaṃ jñānam anantaṃ Brahma.
