Passage 4

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

This alone is the key to all creation. Today man must try to recognise such a nature of mind. Man must make a fitting effort to live as man. He appears a man in form, but he is not seen to be a man in conduct. We must live as men of conduct. Our form, our feelings and our actions must be pure. They must be priceless. They must be full of character. They must be courtesy, good character and good fortune.

To develop such humanness, education is needed. Vit means light. Vidyā is what gives that light. But in today's education there is education, but no elevation. elevation is very necessary. Wherever you look, agitation. This can never be the mark of a student. It is only the mark of an idler. Laziness is dust and rust. Realisation is best and rest. You must never let Laziness in at all. Only the one who cannot study enters into Laziness. How much time is wasted! How much money is wasted! How much energy is wasted! What anxiety for the parents! "What will become of my boy? They say they are on strike!" How the parents grieve! From you, your parents must gain true fame. Your blood, your head, your food, your money: parents gift. So first of all you must give your parents no anxiety of any kind. You must become students like this. Such are the ones I now and then call "Gold, gold." All must become gold. What kind of gold? Not Roald gold. You must become pure gold. In what way? You must be pure in heart. You must be sacred in feeling. You must offer an ideal in daily life. You must be pure in thought, word and deed. In man there must be compassion. Compassion must be within us. That is why they said mankind. Today people use it as a word and waste their time. They make no effort to grasp its meaning. So by our qualities we ourselves can become God. God is not somewhere apart. You yourself are God. When you have a pure citta, there is no God other than you. In one's own citta God keeps growing. God drives your citta as its pilot. God is not the owner. You yourself are the owner. God is the pilot. That is why they called Him Pārthasārathi. Who is Kṛṣṇa? The charioteer. The charioteer of Pārtha. Kṛṣṇa is not the owner. Pārtha is the owner.
