In plain words

What we keep saying is, is not; what we keep saying is not, is; what is, for all time, is God alone; the universe has become what is not: see this, dear one.

Embodiments of Prema!

The principle of Prakṛti makes a difference between the seen and the unseen, but the spiritual principle holds the seen and the unseen, both of them, to be just the same. When you look with the vision of Prakṛti, all this appears as Prakṛti. As each one's vision is, so creation appears. Whatever colour of glasses people put on, to them this world appears in that very colour. To one who looks with the vision of Prema, the whole outer world appears full of nothing but Prema. So every man must cultivate the vision of Prema. Only then does everything take shape as Brahman. Śaṅkara said, ‘Brahmasatyaṃ jagatmithya’. A student who had read the books written by this crest-jewel of Vedānta came to Me: ‘Swāmi! Śaṅkara said, “Brahmasatyaṃ jagatmithya”. What is real, and what is mithyā?’ he asked. Then I: ‘You mad fellow! Leave to Prakṛti what is real and what is Asatya. First of all, find out whether you are real or not,’ I said. ‘Leave that to Prakṛti; Prakṛti itself will decide. You need not inquire into the principle of Prakṛti in the least. You need not argue over it. First of all, find out whether you are real or not,’ I told him. How can one who does not know whether he himself is real or not be fit to declare that Prakṛti is real and eternal? He takes the very body that is seen to be real.
