Passage 5

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

‘Deho devālaya prokto jīvo devas sanātanaḥ.’ In the house called the body, three are living. A feeling in the mind, the word something else, the doing something else again. If the three go in this way on three different paths, how can there be Śānti in this house? There is no Śānti, no radiance. All is darkness, all is Ajñāna! In such a state, what other course is there for man than to fall into sorrow? Yet to look at, people seem very dignified. They seem to be people without any sorrow.

A fig, to look at, is golden; split it open and look, and there are worms.

Man appears with a good shining; but inside, wherever you look, there is nothing but the worms called bad qualities and evil thoughts. Not a single divine feeling can find a way to enter in.

All Are Children of God!

Students! Recognising well the force of today's situation, you must set your life on the right path. Blood flows in the body. What is the caste of that blood? There are muscles in our body. What is their caste? What is the caste of water? What is the caste of fire? What is the caste of space? What is the caste of our earth? Neither the sky nor the wind has any caste at all. Today all these castes have descended on us alone. This itself is great Ajñāna. This itself is great folly. This itself is great devilry. These very castes and creeds, which wipe out society and drown society in sorrow, are causing much division. All are one; all are children of God! To the one God, so many children. So, brotherhood of man and fatherhood of God. All are children of God! There is not one here who is not a child of God. All are forms of God! ‘Mamaivāṃśo jīvaloke jīvabhūtas sanātanaḥ.’ ‘All are a part of Me, not a part of the five elements. Not a part of Prakṛti. A part of Me alone,’ Kṛṣṇa declared, stressing it firmly.
