In plain words
This is what we must now come to know. God has granted us humanness. We must recognise what is special in humanness.
We must keep the Name of God safe in our hearts
If you go on reading books all your life, when will you practise? It is of no use at all. Time does not stay in your hand even for a single moment. Keeping firmly before us the question of when, where and at what moment, we must go on doing our duty. Why should we beg from others? All are beggars! The one who grants to all is God alone! He alone is the one in authority. He alone is the Master. That is why Tulasīdās said this. When the king sent wealth, gold, goods and carriages to his house, to whom did he tell them to give it all? He told them to give it to those who have no lord. ‘I am not without a lord. I have a Lord, Śrī Rāmacandra. He has no lord at all. Take it and give it to Him,’ he said. Lord of the lord, Lord of the lordless. He alone is God. Sing the bhajan of Rāma.
