In plain words
Do all your work in your home! Consider all this as offered to God. That itself is Prema. You need not give up any of your work. Do all the work, but think, ‘Sarvakarma bhagavatprītyarthaṃ,’ and offer it to God. God is everywhere. There is no place where God is not. All are forms of God! All is the form of God! All is the form of Brahman! We must make such a feeling of the Ātma firm. If it is to grow day by day, we must keep shining well like the sun. Prema grows day by day and keeps shining like the full moon. In this Prema the change of the fortnights comes about, and some darkness forms. On the new-moon day darkness comes into the moon. In this moon of Prema there is no darkness at all. Recognise well such a precious heart! Do not fret at all for petty, trifling things. There are hands, there is the mind: with them carry on your business in the world! That is why Tukārām said: ‘Dil me rām, hāth me kām.’ Fill your heart with God; do your work with your hands! There is nothing wrong in it. What every man must learn is this: from today, to set his life on the right path, he must gain pure Prema. If the Prema of God is not in you, everything brings you only sorrow. Everything is full of sorrow. Everything is unsteady, unsteady. Ānanda is nowhere to be seen. The Buddha said, ‘Buddhaṃ śaraṇaṃ gacchāmi, saṅghaṃ śaraṇaṃ gacchāmi, dharmaṃ śaraṇaṃ gacchāmi.’ First of all, take refuge in the Buddhi. Then, with the quality that is in the Buddhi, enter society. Society is the refuge. Then: dharmaṃ śaraṇaṃ gacchāmi. Only then does Ānanda come.
The whole world is the form of God!
Holding sugar in one hand and water in the other, if you say, ‘I want pānakam, I want it,’ how will it come about? We must not divide Prakṛti on one side from the Paramātma on the other.
