In plain words
Unable to understand so broad a principle, they give room to feelings of difference, ‘These are Christians, these are Muslims, these are Hindus, these are Persians’, and in the very end they are rooting out humanness itself.
To celebrate the birthdays of the great is nothing great; we must take a vow to put their teachings into practice
Man today only celebrates the birthdays of the great; he does not put the commands of the great into practice. To celebrate the birthdays of the great is no greatness. We must take a vow to put their ideals and their commands into practice. Many scholars went on researching whether the teachings of Jesus were right or not. Now, from 1530 AD onwards, they went on gathering all the matter. In England they wrote it specially as one book. Thinking that if it was big not everyone would look at it, they made it a small book, and the Russians built a building near the black sea and put it there. All the teachings of Jesus are contained in that small book itself. This is that book. This is the book (Swami created it). On it is the chief symbol of the Christian religion, the cross. They showed that this is the method that teaches the harmony of all religions. What is in this book is not in any Bible. Not everyone can know the principle of God. But if we want to know the principle of God, divine feelings alone must arise in us. In it is a śloka that applies to every religion.
Giving up all Dharmas, take refuge in Me alone; I shall free you from all sins; do not grieve.
This Bhagavad Gītā śloka they have set down in this book.
