In plain words
"If harm is done to others we may bear it, we may put up with it. If God is hurt we must not put up with it," he said. "Whatever is done for God is not wrong," he said. God is what you need. He defied his mother for sending Śrī Rāmacandra to the forest. There is nothing wrong in it. Revere the father as God. Hiraṇyakaśipu went on abusing God all the time. He forbade Prahlāda to utter the name Nārāyaṇa. Defy a father who hates God; there is nothing wrong in it. Then the guru. Śukrācārya was the guru of Emperor Bali. Śukrācārya came in the way, saying, "Don't, don't." Then Emperor Bali said: "Is there a sin greater than to promise and then go back on one's word?" "When I have said I will give, even to God, I cannot hold back." Saying he would defy his guru's command, he defied the guru's command. All such things we must look to specially, in relation to God alone. In the matter of God, whatever comes does not matter. Face it. Life is a challenge meet it. You need not be afraid at all. In such matters we must push our life forward boldly. Mīrā saw that letter. Come, O mind! She set out for Dvārakā. "What greater joy can there be for me than this? It is surely the true word: in the matter of God I will not grieve at all. For God I will give up my all." Holding it no wrong, she left her husband and went away. After she left, the king grieved greatly. He said, "I have done a very wrong thing." He too rode off on a horse. By the time he reached the door, she had given up her life. He saw it. That relationship lasts only so far. She saw God. She gave up her life. She never again looked on her husband's face. On the path of truth she went on winning victory and never once met defeat. In the matter of God, whatever difficulties come, you must bear them, push through and go forward. If you are with me, you will know my principle very well. But I do not keep anyone with me. Because they cannot understand it properly. But sleeping there at night cannot be avoided. They do sleep there. They see all these things, poor boys. They say nothing to me. They do as they are told. If I say "Go," they go.
