Desires are all negative. But divine desires are not negative. Positive. How so? The divine is very great. We cannot say its measure is so much. We cannot say its limit is such. It is endless and fathomless. That is what they called immortality. What is the way to immortality. Removal of immorality is the only way to immortality. Give up all the negative. You must put away all these. Only then does immortality come. Anger, heat, envy, jealousy: you must put away all of them. These six inner enemies, desire, anger, greed, pride and envy, people do not lead onto the right path but lead onto the crooked path. That is why they fall into sorrow. Anger is not bad. Hatred is not bad. There should be hatred; on what? You must keep your hatred for what goes against the right feeling. That is true greatness. Then that too becomes positive. Positive and negative: whatever is needed to help others, to do good work, all of that is positive. When you keep it in a selfish feeling, it is negative. We must put away the selfish and travel in the selfless. Only then do we become people who have nurtured true humanness.
Holy deeds are the student's aim
Students! Wherever you are, give no room in your life to the personality. Give value to duty. Duty is God. Work is worship. You must give your duty its proper value. You must not take up claims like "I am wealthy, I am learned." All these are attachment. You must not give in to this attachment. You must not swell up with this attachment. You must gain the divinity that neither swells nor sinks. The children have come to study. Study well. Understand well what you have studied. Share what you have understood with others. Share it with others and enjoy it yourselves too. Wherever you go, whatever job you join, you must do the work that befits that job.
