In plain words
As children like these, you can enter the country and lead a life that is a great ideal. For having drawn you so close, fed you in so many ways, taught you in so many ways and cared for you, what I want is only one thing. Earn a good name. I want nothing more than that. If you earn a good name, it is joy to your parents. That itself is my joy. There is no joy you can give me greater than that. I ask for nothing. In this way you must live well, and the boys of this institute must become ideal. Hoping and blessing that you will lead such a life, I end my long talk. You must be careful in my matter. In no matter do I become negative. In no situation do I become negative. I am always positive. I am ready for this. But without giving room to a wrong meaning, without giving room to harm, keep the true meaning in your mind and behold divinity. That is what I ask. First take up the humanness that is in you. Do not look to the animal nature. From that humanness you must enter divinity. Respect your elders. We must not forget the good done by those who have done us good. Help ever hurt never. This is the chief principle of Bhārata. There is no use in merely reading the Vedas and the Vedic śāstras. A cowherd came, gave the answer and satisfied the king. So this is not a thing that is done by scholars. What goes on among scholars is only argument and counter-argument. Through this argument and counter-argument, hatred grows. You must not grow argument and enmity. When you do not know, do not argue. Sit with your mouth shut. That is enough. What you must open today is the heart. What you must shut is the mouth. But people open the mouth and shut the heart. That is the great negative. The heart must be opened and the mouth shut. That is the positive. Try to lead such a positive life. Do not talk much. Do not hurt anyone. Hoping and blessing that with such good words you will make your life an ideal, I end my talk. The music boys must be very careful.
