Caṇḍa and Amarka come complaining, poor fellows.
When the demons pressed round him, the demon's son, time after time.
When anyone is beaten, they cry "Ammā, abbā". Prahlāda said, "Nārāyaṇa, Nārāyaṇa." Everything became Nārāyaṇa. When even the snakes became Nārāyaṇa, the mountains too were Nārāyaṇa. If our heart is in the sacred Name, everything becomes sacred.
Embodiments of Prema! You think of today as the new year. Develop new feelings. I hope that you will take up an ideal life and offer an ideal life to the whole of Bhārata, and I ask you to understand well, in the new year, the principle called Śaraṇāgati to God. You must make the right effort to go near to God. You must not stay far off. Not even a hair must come between. You must come that close. You must draw near to God in body, in mind and in spirit too. What use is it to be near only in body? It is like a frog sitting on a lotus. Not like that: you must be with Prema. With Prema you must stay close to Prema. With that principle of Prema you can achieve any amount.
